My Stay At Cardinal Glennon

I stayed at Cardinal Glennon Hospital for the next eight days of my life. The doctors and nurses were great and did an excellent job taking care of me. They won't admit it, but I could tell that I was all of the nurses' favorite patient.

The biggest development besides me getting healthy was being introduced to Jennifer and Daniel, or mom and dad as they prefer to be called. I heard that daddy found out about me first at 1:02 p.m. on January 5. He then went to mommy's school (she is a teacher) and told her about me.

They came to the hospital on Wednesday January 6 and I got to meet them for the first time. I could tell that they loved me very much and there was a lot of crying going on (I was the loudest though). They liked me so much that they stayed the whole night with me. That night, there was a big snow storm but no one would let me go out in it. I was really hoping to make some snow angels. I must have not scared them off because they came back the next day.

When I woke up Friday, I could tell something was going on. Everyone was really happy for some reason and then I had to take a car seat test. It seemed pretty boring so I fell asleep, but somehow I still passed with flying colors.

Things continued to be different than previous days. They took all of my possessions and packed them away, and then they put me in a wagon. I thought I was just going for a ride around the floor, but they took me to my parent's car and we went away.  I hope the doctors and nurses don't think that I am rude because I didn't say good-bye. The three of us drove to my new temporary home in Illinois, where we are staying while some paperwork gets signed. Hopefully we won't be there too long because I can't wait to see this other house where I will grow up.
