It's official. I am now legally Bryan Lee Newton!Me, mom, and dad went to court in Illinois this morning to finalize the adoption. We talked to our lawyers for a little bit and then we all stood up for the judge when he came in. The first thing he did was give me a gift, a very nice teddy bear. After my parents got sworn in, one of the lawyers asked them a couple of questions. After that, the judge said the adoption was finalized and I legally got my new name. I will get a new birth certificate and everything. Needless to say, all three of us were very excited. We celebrated by eating lunch at Chevy's in O'Fallon, Ill., the same place we ate our first meal together back in January.
Oh this just made my heart skip a beat! I am so happy for my only favorite nephew! So many prayers have been fully answered today! Can't wait to see you Sunday!!

Bryan, you were always a Newton, but your grandfather is proud of you on this special day and glad you got the chance to interrupt a judge.
